Condoroil and Industry 4.0: investments will improve the production capacity

Following the increase in orders and in view of further increases over the next few years, a series of investments have been planned and started by the chemicals supplier Condoroil to increase in production capacity.

The points on which the implementations are made or are being implemented are the following:

Paint production • Creation of storage for shiny and opaque converters.
• Implementation of a reactive storage and dosing system for the automatic production of converters.
• Increase from 14 to 18 of the pastes storage.
• Automation, according to recipes from datacolor, of the production of paints in medium-small batches (200-2.000kg).
• Insertion of two new sinks.

Production of lubricants and protective products without water
• Creation of a new 12 mc blender.
• Increase of storage facilities of raw materials for about 100 additional tons.
• Creation of an automatic production system managed by PLC.

Chemical production
• Creation of new storage for raw materials.
• Installation of No. 03 tanks of 15 cubic meters for the storage of products awaiting shipment.

Moreover, in order to guarantee more and more the optimal quality of the products formulated, to have better control of the warehouse, to know thoroughly which raw material was used to produce a given lot, a production management operating with specific software was introduced. with a barcode system. With the aim of having a better and more streamlined control of individual orders, a similar system with barcode has been included at Condoroil Stainless for the management of the plant engineering section.
