A video on the benefits of drawing dies with long reduction area

The company Vassena srl, which has been engaged for decades in the production of drawing tools, presents a video on how to optimize the results of the drawing process using dies with a long reduction cone and forced lubrication.

The video explains what is commonly known as "Venturi Effect", named after its discoverer Giovanni Battista Venturi, Italian man of letters and scientist who lived at the end of the eighteenth century, whose intuitions are still useful for today's drawing professionals.
The founder of the company Vassena Srl, Giuseppe Vassena, was the first to apply the Venturi principle on drawing dies by introducing tools with an elongated drawing cone.

The video shows the advantages achieved from dies with a long cone:

- better coverage of the lubricant on the wire;
- greater duration of the drawing tools;
- higher drawing speeds;
- less friction;
- lower energy consumption.
