Fastener Poland: a few considerations from a leading machinery manufacturer

Fastener Poland: a few considerations from a leading machinery manufacturer

The third edition of Fastener Poland took place on October 8-9, in Krakow: it is the only international fasteners fair in East-Central Europe. The event revolved around industrial and construction fasteners and fixings, assembly and installation systems, fastener manufacturing technology, services, and storage, distribution, and factory equipment.

We had a quick chat with Mr. Edward van der Ploeg, Commercial Director at Weighpack Packaging Solutions. Based in The Hague, in The Netherlands, the company specializes in the design and manufacture of weighing and packaging lines for screws, nails, nuts and bolts.

Since the exhibition is at its first stages and still a very specific meeting point for Eastern countries the event was nice and quiet, according to the Dutch machinery manufacturer.
All in all, the impressions are positive: thanks to great investments and initiatives by Polish companies who aim at being in a top position, the regional market is in a better situation than its neighboring countries.
The main purpose of Weighpack, as one of the head suppliers of fastener packaging machinery, was to further expand its network in Poland. The further promotion of their sales agent was another clear goal of the company.
Weighpack’s staff displayed two packaging machines; one for (KLT) boxes and one counting machine with bagmaker related to its innovative technologies and solutions to interested attendees.
Even though the trade show was not that crowded, the company was able to fulfill said objectives and make new acquaintances in Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia.

Mr. van der Ploeg would also like to thank the Fastener Poland’s staff for its professionality and he hopes that the next editions will receive even more national and international recognition.
