Double electro-upsetting machine by CEMSA flies to India
CEMSA INTERNATIONAL srl is pleased to announce a new milestone: one of the most important Indian groups, leader in the production of rear axle shafts for trucks, tractors, earthmoving machines, etc., has re-chosen CEMSA for a double electro-upsetting machine belonging to the “RIO 300x2 DC AUT” series.
This is a “double deck” machine, in that both stations operate in parallel, thus representing the optimal solution for enhancing productivity. The feeding of bars (ranging from Ø 22 mm up to Ø 65 mm) to both stations is completely automated via a motorized roller conveyor and a 3- axis overhead manipulator. A fully automated work cell, comprising two “RIO 300X2 DC AUT Left & Right” machines, two robots, and one Direct Drive Press, ensures an average production time of less than 20 seconds per piece, with a maximum of 25 seconds, depending on the dimensions of the raw bars and the flanges to be forged. Recipes are programmed and implemented via the latest generation Siemens PLC and HMI. Profinet or similar interconnection protocols facilitate real-time data exchange between the plant and the master stations on-site, in line with Industry 4.0 requirements.
