CO2ntinuus Green: state-of-the-art aluminum ingot production

Recently Continuus Properzi participated in the GREENER ALUMINUM SUMMIT online seminar, introducing a new patented and eco-sustainable production process designed to reduce CO2 emissions in the production of aluminum ingots.

After an in-depth study of all the savings, Continuus-Properzi issued an exhaustive technical report detailing the main advantages of this new technology:

(a) higher metal yield;
(b) higher quality;
(c) higher packing density (compactness);
(d) less strapping consumption (PET);
(e) no need for preheating.

This report accounts only for the most significant benefits of the new casting process (ingot quality, operating costs, procedures, and so on). It also provides clear evidence that the "CO2ntinuus Green Ingots" are more environmentally friendly than other types of ingots available on the market. In particular, it is estimated a CO2 emissions reduction into the atmosphere of about 280 Kg for each ton of primary aluminum converted into Properzi Ingots.

The above data and information have been determined using a scientific approach. All necessary references and detailed explanations of the calculations are included in a technical report issued by Continuus-Properzi and validated by BSI Group (British Standards Institution - international standardization, certification and training body).
