Combined bar and tube drawing lines

Combined bar and tube drawing lines

EJP Maschinen GmbH, established over 40 years ago, is a specialized supplier of tailor-made production equipment for wire, bars, tubes, and profiles. Designed to produce bars or tubes from coils, the company's combined bar and tube drawing lines are suitable for processing metals such as steel, brass, copper, aluminum, etc. by using different components to exert drawing forces ranging from 2 to 46 tons, in order to ensure optimal material draw.

Such a variety of elements offers countless configurations, making EJP's combined bar and tube drawing systems the perfect, customized choice to meet any production requirement in the bars and tubes processing industry.

The line is structured as follows:

Double pay-off
- Allows fast material feeding
- Hydraulic tilting of the crowns in order to allow coil loading during operation
- Foundation-less, and stronger version with foundation available

Coil opening robot
- Facilitates coil end manipulation and insertion into the pre-straightener
- Operator-controlled movement via joysticks
- Options include the classic version "RIBI” style

Pre-straightener
- Ensures optimal preparation for downstream processes
- Horizontal pre-straightener for bending against winding direction
- Vertical pre-straightener for bending perpendicular to winding direction

Shot blasting machine
- Achieves optimal starting material surface condition
- Mechanical descaling for steel and steel alloys
- Ensures that only cleaned material enters the drawing die

Pushpointer
- Precise feeding into the drawing unit
- Space saving arrangement
- Different sizes up to 920 kN impact force

Drawing unit
- Hand-over-hand drawing process for continuous material processing
- Roll-guided drawing carriages
- Forged steel drawing cams
- Option of motorized die holder adjustment
- Speeds up to 150m/min, pulling forces up to 460kN

Chaintrack drawing unit
- New generation of continuous pulling method with two chaintracks
- Higher pulling speeds, up to 400 m/min
- Ideal for larger batch sizes
- Usual speeds between 150 and 300 m/min

Profile straightener
- Ensures an optimal straightening of profile material
- Equipped with 7 or 9 adjustable straightening rolls each in vertical and horizontal plane
- Quick exchange system with double rolls arrangement for fast set-up

Hydraulic shear
- Cuts material on the fly with the fast action of two bushes
- Electric three-phase servo drive for precise control
- Fine adjustment for optimal cutting surfaces

Tube guide
- Sound-insulated, manually or motor-movable
- Ensures close guidance of bars to the next unit
- Can be implemented with side ejector and transport units

2-roll straightener
- Ensures precise straightness and high surface quality on round bars
- Height-adjustable with fixed bottom roll and adjustable top roll
- Hydraulically clamped adjustable components

2-way delivery table
- Unloads bars at the end of the drawing line
- Can eject defective and good bars separately
- Wormscrew system for precise alignment

Chamfering machine
- Provides ends machining of bar material
- Shapes bar ends for further processing

Double easy down collection pocket
- Collection of bars with noise reduction
- Allows removal of bundle during ongoing production

Electric control
- Modern electrical control system for entire system operation
- Records and provides process parameters
- Internet-based remote maintenance for immediate assistance
