QED: coronavirus, company's activities, future prospects and more

Now that many countries have overcome the toughest phase of the pandemic, it's time to take stock of what happened around the world in the last few months. QED - a Canadian machine builder specializing in process lines for the steel wire industry - shared some thoughts with us regarding the company situation, future prospects and more.

"During this months of unprecedented uncertainty, we offer our thanks and our continued support to all our customers and associates as we work together to secure our business and, in turn yours.

In spite of being located in the Canadian province most greatly affected by COVID-19, all of our employees and their families remain safe and healthy. We have adapted by working from home throughout the pandemic and count ourselves among the fortunate companies that have not had to downsize or scale back operations; thankfully our IT and communications systems allow us to continue our business as usual.

We remain optimistic as our local economy begins to re-open in light of stabilizing COVID-19 cases. Despite these unexpected circumstances it is evident that the wire industry is looking to the future as we continue to have high demand for quotations. The fabricating sector in Quebec, Canada, has been operational since early May, after a brief shut down beginning mid March, and production continues as per usual for QED.

Our thoughts are with those who have personally been touched by the COVID-19 outbreak as well as the many communities facing extreme measures in order to slow its spread."
