Cold formed multidiameter studs

Multidiameter pins have more than one diameter and are mainly used in the automotive, household appliances and electromechanical industries.

To the “multidiameter” category belong three different types:

- Nucleus for relays made of RFE60 and/or RFE80
- Solid and/or half-hollow studs
- Threaded and knurled studs

These are all produced using cold-forming machinery with 3 to 5 dies, which can forge a wire from 2,5mm to 15mm diameter.

Reworking or machining
Threading up to M8; simple, inter-crossed and personalized knurling.

Heat treatments
In-house heat treatments in inert atmosphere.

Surface treatments
Zinc plating with and without Cr VI, copper plating, electrolytical zinc plating, chemical nickel plating and in sulphate bath, tin plating, dacromet, deltatone, delta seal, Geomet.
