Ernst Blissenbach GmbH is a specialized Germany-based manufacturer and designer of internal scarfing systems and components for ERW tube and pipe production. Within a complete ID-scarfing system, the customer designed suspension unit and tube penetration unit play a central role in ensuring precise positioning and reliable operation of all internal components by keeping the entire length of the system as short as possible.

 

Integrated suspension unit for system stability and alignment

 

The suspension unit forms the structural backbone of the internal scarfing system. It supports and stabilizes the entire assembly, including the tube penetration system, the impeder, and the scarfing tools, while allowing precise adjustment during operation.

 

Engineered for integration into a wide range of tube mill configurations, the suspension ensures accurate alignment of all internal components, reduces vibrations, and maintains consistent cutting conditions. Its adjustable design enables operators to fine-tune the system according to tube dimensions, wall thickness, and production speed. All suspension units are custom made and adapted to the find pass stand of the tube mill.

 

Optimized tube penetration for stable ID-scarfing

 

The patented tube penetration system is designed to guide the tow bar, impeder, and ID-scarfing tools safely through the open seam into the tube during the tube welding process. Its engineered fin geometry with its integrated cooling and hydraulic lines allows smooth insertion even in narrow tube gaps.

 

The distance between the suspension unit and the scarfing point can be reduced significantly. This improves stability and toll guidance during weld seam removal and supports consistent results, even in demanding ERW tube production conditions.
