An innovative furnace prototype for the new ABS’ rolling mill

The construction works for the foundations of the brand-new ABS’ walking beam furnace have officially started. It is an innovative prototype, one of a kind, specifically designed to heat the semi-finished products that will feed the new company's rolling mill.

The new furnace will open up a lot of options for the optimization of the production capacity and drastically reduce scale formation. This, together with the technical and design choices made, will allow to reduce by 50% the loss of weight due to the scales formation, compared to traditional heating furnaces.
