Discover cold forming vegetable oils at Fastener Fair in Milan

Discover cold forming vegetable oils at Fastener Fair in Milan

At Fastener Fair Italy in Milan (26th - 27th September 2018), CONDAT will exhibit its wide range of lubricants dedicated to cold heading operations. Among those, discover CONDAT cold forming vegetable oils.

EXTRUGLISS green oils are vegetal based oils that improve productivity and tool life. Thanks to the high level of lubricity of vegetal base oil (3 times more efficient than standard mineral base oils), EXTRUGLISS GREEN enables to manufacture very difficult parts while increasing the OEE (efficiency of your process) and reducing your tooling budget. These oils can be used also for heavy duty forming operations (screw, bolt, nuts and extrusion).

Highly performant, EXTRUGLISS GREEN are also dual purpose oils. They have been specially formulated to provide both superior lubrication characteristics to machinery, as well as outstanding lubrication for your cold heading process. With a high flash point, ensuring lower mist and smokes, and being free of chlorine, EXTRUGLISS GREEN oils have a reduced impact on the environment and gives operators a friendly working environment. Thanks to their responsible approach, these lubricants are not subject to UTIF tax due in Italy on imported mineral lubricants.

Customer experience

In MICHIGAN (USA), one CONDAT customer has compared in detail the usage of EXTRUGLISS GREEN with their previous mineral oil base product. Engineering Technician stated:
“We have analyzed both the die side and commodity way oil on our National Machinery and Nedschroef cold forming machines, he said. In addition, we measured die life of some piercing tools when using the conventional previous oil versus the EXTRUGLISS GREEN.
We noticed 40 % less usage of EXTRUGLISS 68 G versus previous mineral oil due to reduced smoke, lower carry-off, and ability to recycle the EXTRUGLISS GREEN.
Moreover, depending on the diameter of nuts produced, piercing and extrusion tool usage could be reduced between 28 % to 67 %. All together, we manage to save at least more than $24,000 on just three piercing tools in 2017 versus 2016 via improvement of die life thanks to EXTRUGLISS A 68 G usage.”
