Revising the business strategy to survive COVID-19

The COVID-19 emergency has upset the plans of numerous companies around the globe, forcing them to adapt to the new situation. This is the case of the screw making company Corbetta & C. Snc, who is now fully equipped to face the epidemic.

"When Italy was placed under lockdown and we were forced to shut down our production, we quickly reorganized our team and started to work remotely. This way we were able to stay in touch with our customers and support them throughout this difficult phase."

Compared to other companies, Corbetta was able to resume production in advance: in fact, the firm is an integral part of the medical industry supply chain, a sector obviously considered essential. Of course, this happened after implementing all the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of employees and external collaborators. The company also provided all the internal personnel with protective equipment, while at the same time carrying out an awareness campaign on the importance of its use.

Founded in 1969, Corbetta & C. specializes in the production of a wide range of screws, pins, rivets, and other fasteners. Almost all Corbetta products are manufactured upon the customer's design, starting from low carbon steel wire (40%), quenched and tempered steel (20-30%), stainless steel (10-15%), as well as aluminum, brass, and copper (10-15% combined).
