Elestar Srl to ship another bright annealing furnace

Elestar Srl has recently been commissioned a bright annealing furnace to be installed on a new tube mill for the esteemed customer Marcegaglia.

The cutting-edge system manufactured by Elestar can perform the in-line bright annealing of stainless steel tubes at a temperature of 1100 °C and the subsequent cooling to an outlet temperature of about 50 - 100 °C. The process is carried out in a controlled atmosphere (nitrogen, hydrogen or argon).

Furthermore, the smart energy power supply, controlled by a chopper system with IGBT modules, allows the furnace to obtain power factor values greater than 95% at any power level.

Elestar’s bright annealing furnaces are also fitted with a series of devices for gas management and monitoring, as well as with an automatic system for heating power regulation. The inductors feature a very compact design with a max length of only 400 mm and are located inside a watertight metal box with gas leak sensors. Last but not least, the rigorously customized automatic management system allows setting up the correct annealing process, achieving the highest product quality.
