FIB polymer leadfree quenching system for tire wire: certification of the processed products

A big Asian player specializing in tire manufacturing has chosen the FIB polymer quenching technology for its patenting operations. 

As bead wire and steel cord products are subject to requalification by the end-users when a process is modified, a whole new certification procedure had to be initiated. In this particular case, it took more than a year to achieve this result.

This patenting system revolves around quenching the wires with a special solution made of water and non-toxic polymers.

The wires quenched with this technology are extremely reliable and perfectly suitable for tire wire manufacturing.

The FIB polymer patenting technology allows processing wire sizes from 0.8 mm to 4.0 mm.
