Eurodraw Wire Equipment to present its new DT (6+1)/400 double twist buncher

This innovative double twist machine is an evolution of the DT range of machines, which are now available in spool sizes of 250, 315, 355, and 400 mm. The new DT (6+1)/400 bunching machine is specifically designed to produce safely, efficiently, and at high speed standard 6+1 wire strands.

The new DT machine has an in-out configuration, which means that the wires are inside the machine cradle and the strand is collected on a spooler outside of the machine.

This particular model is the largest of the range: it can output galvanized or uncoated strands up to ø2.70 mm at speeds up to 4000 twist/min. As the machine can be loaded with 7 400 mm spools (holding 200 Kg of wire each), it is now possible to produce a 1400 Kg strand spool in one shot.

It is also possible to install a compacting cassette in order to manufacture both normal and compacted strands.

The performance of the DT buncher is much higher than even the best 400 mm tubular stranders available today. The speed is doubled, the overall dimensions are halved, while the machine is completely safe for the operators. Furthermore, the noise is <78 dBA, the wire spool loading process is extremely easy and quick, more efficient, and no foundations at all are required.

However, the quality of the strand is what matters the most. The quality of a DT-bunched strand is much better than a tubular-machine-manufactured one thanks to the accurate, stable, and consistent wire tensioning system. This innovative process does not depend on the friction and the centrifugal forces that the single wires are subject to when traveling through the tubular strander.

State-of-the-art electronics control the entire line and allow remote assistance and supervision. An air-conditioned electrical cabinet is connected to the machine with quick plugs for an easy and quick setup.

Moreover, the DT machines can be equipped with any type of spooler to wind the strand on many sizes of spools according to larger rope manufacturing requirements.
