Milani to introduce a new servo drive chain calibrating machine

The established manufacturer of wire processing machinery Milani launches on the market the new MCC7 servo drive chain calibrating machine.

MCC7 is a fully automatic machine designed to test each chain link individually, by bringing the link pitch to the correct size with a tolerance of +- 0.2 mm. Starting from today, manufacturing chains with a constant length will be easier than ever.

But that's not all, a backup of the machine's memory can be downloaded every week to be kept as an archive. Besides, during this process, the MCC7 regularly prints codes on the chain to identify the manufacturer and the production batch, thus making it simple to track.

This new machine is ideal for both in-line work (after the welding line) and box to box mode.

A noticeable technological upgrade with tangible and remarkable results
Until now, all Milani calibrating machines have always been pneumatic or hydraulic, from 20 tons upwards. The Italy-based company is now doing major upgrades to the pneumatic line (which is still available for purchase). Each machine can now be completely servo-driven, with linear axis servo motors replacing the cylinders. This technological upgrade makes Milani's machines faster and smarter; a concrete example is the possibility to save recipes for the chain model that needs to be processed, thus reducing set-up times.
The estimated production increase with a servo drive solution is of about 40%.

The servo drive calibrating machine line includes:

- MCC2 SERVO to test chains with a maximum power of 2 tons
- MCC5/7 Servo to test chains with a maximum power of 5/7 tons
- MCC10 Servo to test chains with a maximum power of 10 tons
