Investing and growing despite the emergency: the story of an Italian spring-maker

Investing and growing despite the emergency: the story of an Italian spring-maker

We are now in the midst of the so-called "Phase 2", which began on May 4 and allowed most of the Italian companies to resume their activities after the hard lockdown imposed by the pandemic.

However, some industrial firms, indispensable to support strategic sectors, have never stopped. This is the case of Mollificio Modenese, a renowned manufacturer of a wide range of springs, hooks, and small metal parts upon customers’ requests. The company has been operating in derogation since mid-April to dispose of a large number of requests arrived during the hottest months of the emergency. Of course, the Italian spring-maker had to implement strict safety measures to resume its activities: for example, workers have been provided with PPEs and sanitizing products, and have been divided into two shifts to avoid crowds and increase the available space. Furthermore, the body temperature of everyone who sets foot inside the facility is checked and recorded.

And that is not all, the company has been making some important investments despite the unforeseen and exceptional times we live in: a brand-new spring forming machine was waiting for the employees at their return. Thanks to this new upgrade, Mollificio Modenese will be able to increase its production capacity and fulfil orders more quickly.

The company has also recently launched a new e-commerce website that will allow you to purchase a wide range of standard and certified springs directly online.
