Copper drawing on multiwire machines: Niehoff to show a MMH model in São Paulo

Copper drawing on multiwire machines: Niehoff to show a MMH model in São Paulo

Niehoff’s MMH type multiwire drawing lines are spread all over the world with 1,500 lines in operation working on copper and aluminum wires. Due to their modular design and great flexibility, they can be adapted to different requirements, exceeding the most demanding wire specifications in terms of physical properties.

MMH 101.E2 model multiwire drawing machine will be on display in São Paulo (Brazil) at the upcoming wire South America 2019 trade fair, on 1 – 3 October 2019. At booth 506/508 Maschinenfabrik Niehoff and its Brazilian subsidiary Niehoff-Herborn Máquinas Ltda. (NHM) are going to show this peculiar machine, built by NHM under Niehoff license and designed for the simultaneous drawing of 16 copper wires.

Operation is carried out by means of the standardized NMI (NIEHOFF Machine Interface), a network-compatible color touchscreen which features a clear task and user-oriented navigation structure and enables an easy intuitive operation. The machine’s sensor technology makes it possible to use machine, production and process data according to Industry 4.0.

Wires drawn on MMH machines can be processed to multiwire bundles which are ideally suited for final applications or downstream processes such as high-quality stranding or braiding.

Further exhibits
NHM will also display Niehoff Original+ spare parts, a Resy filter, two welding machines built by Strecker and other pieces of equipment such as roller straighteners and straightening rolls.

Niehoff-Herborn Máquinas Ltda. (NHM)
Based in Barueri near São Paolo, it was founded in the year 1975. The company headed by Alex Hoster has currently 48 employees. NHM builds wire processing machinery according to Niehoff standards, but adapted to the particular requirements of the customers in Brazil and neighboring countries. NHM imports other types of machines from the Niehoff headquarters to complement its production line and prepares this equipment for installation at its customers’ production sites. NHM is also responsible for customer services and has assumed representation of renowned European suppliers for the wire and cable industry.
