International students visiting REGG Inspection: the winners of the IMTTA

Every year, UCIMU (Italian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association) and ITA (Italian Trade Agency) support the Italian Machine Tool Technology Award (IMTTA), an international program that rewards the best near-graduate students’ technology and automation thesis.

The winners of this year’s edition from USA, Canada, Messico, Russia, and China were rewarded with a one-week trip to Italy, from 10 to 17 November, 2019. The main goal of the project was to give students the opportunity to get in touch with some Italian companies specializing in the mechanical engineering field.

REGG Inspection, leading company for the manufacturing of fastener inspection and selection systems, took part in the IMTTA program, hosting an open-house one-day event. Riccardo D’Ambrosio, CEO of the Italian company, took the students on a tour through REGG’s main workshop to see fine examples of applied automation first-hand.
The event was brought to a close with a final buffet, a moment of confrontation between students, professors, and REGG staff.

It was undoubtedly a really interesting event, from which the students will be able to take inspiration both for their personal and for their working life.
