This article will show you what lies behind the making of all the concentric taping lines, spinning machines, single twisting equipment, heat treatment systems and rewinding lines that are assembled in its workshops everyday.
Our journey begins in the technical office. Most of the mechanical components of WTM machines are produced in perfect autonomy; the same can be said for the electrical installation, for which the best parts available on the market are employed. This allows to reduce the delivery times and guarantees a high reliability and flexibility.
During the design phase it is also important to keep up with the times and stay focused on the objective. You will not find the desks of WTM’s technical office cluttered with rolls of paper and stacks of drawings: the staff of engineers uses the latest design software for the realization of the technical drawings of the components.
Once completed, the projects of the single items are sent to the production department: here, expert millers and turners build the finished parts, which, if necessary, will be further processed according to their final function.
As soon as available, the components are sent to specialized mechanical fitters who accurately assemble the machines in all their parts, from the heaviest mandrels, motors and capstans to the smaller washers. At this point, only software programming is missing in order to be able to switch the equipment on.
When the machines are completely assembled and the electrical systems are finished, the software engineers are ready to load the specifically developed software and start all the functional tests.
During testing, all functions of the machines are checked and fine-tuned, while waiting for the client for the pre-acceptance test. After getting the customer’s approval, the installations are ready to be disconnected, disassembled and packaged for shipment.
