EuroBLECH opens its doors

On October 25th the 24th edition of the International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition has opened its doors at the Hanover Exhibition Centre in Germany.

For five days 1,503 exhibitors from 41 countries will present the latest technologies along the entire sheet metal processing chain. This year’s EuroBLECH has reached and even slightly surpassed its record floor size of some 88,000 square metres net. Germany will account for 46% of the exhibitors, but the percentage of international exhibiting companies has increased by 2%. Biggest exhibitor countries after Germany are Italy, Turkey, China, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Denmark and the USA.

The overall theme of EuroBLECH 2016 is ‘The New Generation of Sheet Metal Working’.
The digitisation of production processes is a central point of interest, as automation and flexible manufacturing systems are more important than ever. The automotive industry with its focus on lightweight construction remains the major driver for innovations in this field.
