Get ready for Wire & Cable India 2016

Despite the global steel crisis and excess production capacities in China, the demand for wire, cable and tubes in India still continues to be high. According to the Steel Wire Manufacturers Association of the country, the Indian wire industry has grown about 5-6% during the last two years.

The business climate for the new edition of the trade show Wire & Cable India is therefore positive.
The industry is ready for the 6th International Exhibition for the Wire & Cable Industry organised and held by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, its Indian subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf India and the Confederation of Indian Industry.
On October 5 -7, the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai will gather under one roof 388 exhibitors from 25 countries, with official country group participations from Austria, China, Germany, Italy and Northern America. Wire & Cable India is held every two years along with Metallurgy India, Tube India and India Essen Welding & Cutting (jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf India and Messe Essen GmbH).
Some key market facts to keep in mind about India:
- According to McKinsey, India's economy will grow five-fold in the next 20 years.
- India's economy is capable of absorbing every year $50 billion in foreign direct investment.
- The trading volume between India and Germany, India’s biggest trading partner in the EU, has tripled over the past ten years.
We also report that during the fair on October 7th there will be a one-day conference titled Polymers in Cables and Wires, focused on the increased usage of compounds in the wire and cable industries.
