Butt welding machines on display at wire India 2018

If you're looking for solutions to perform effective butt welds on wire and strands, AUGUST STRECKER GmbH & Co. KG has been for almost 80 years acknowledged leader in manufacturing electric as well as cold pressure butt welding machines for the wire and cable industry.

At the upcoming show WIRE INDIA 2018 in Mumbai (November 27-29) Strecker will display following electric butt welding machines:
- STRECKER type SE 1 for copper strands 0,2 – 6,0 mm² / aluminium strands 1,5 – 6,0 mm²
- STRECKER type SE 2 for copper strands 0,35 -16 mm² / aluminium strands 1,5 – 16 mm² (in the picture, top right) 
- STRECKER type 1-LNV for steel-wire Ø 0,5 – 7,0mm (on the left)
- STRECKER type PA 12 for copper strip material 7 – 80 mm²

In the past, STRECKER has gained a reputation for manufacturing big-size welding machines for medium or high voltage submarine cables. Here the tendency is straight to welds without tubes, using dual upset welders with automatic flash removal system. Worth mentioning: the recent development of machines powered by three-phase transformers, reducing the current consumption and facilitating machine installation in the individual cable factories. Progress continues, as it is planned to enlarge the welding ranges for stranded copper up to 1600 or even 2500 mm².
