Carlo Salvi and the key to the future: a strategic vision for sustainability

Carlo Salvi S.p.a. has been in the market for more than 80 years with its 100% Made in Italy technologies. The fastener heading machines manufactured by the company offer high-performances, flexibility, and the highest quality. Over time, the brand has become synonymous with the values of excellence and family tradition that Italy has represented worldwide. Currently, the company is striving to find a greener way to improve the comfort of its employees through the study of clever and sustainable solutions.

Carlo Salvi’s priority is to completely satisfy its customer's needs through a process of continuous research and development, build new models of headers, and offer technological solutions suitable for every necessity.

Among the upcoming innovations, the company offers a new double-stroke heading machine for the production of parts with lengths up to 200 mm and integrated models with rolling units. Starting from now and continuing for the next 3-4 years, the company aims to complete this product range. A goal, or rather a real challenge, as Marco Pizzi, Chief Commercial Officer, says: "During 2022, new resources were hired, especially qualified and specialized personnel capable of increasing the company's production capacity. We hope to continue on the same wave in the upcoming years in order to meet the ever-increasing market demand."

Sustainability and the current energy crisis are certainly the factors that have led Carlo Salvi S.p.a. to work harder and become more independent, (starting from the next year already), with the installation of new solar panels.

After the pandemic, the Italian Small and Medium Enterprises have shown remarkable resourcefulness, reinventing themselves and responding proactively to the new challenges proposed by the market. Indeed, as Marco Pizzi added, "[...] In fact, we did not wait for new orders to arrive, but tried to anticipate times by finalizing and studying new products and types of services, thus increasing our investment in research and development".

The fasteners market is not exempt from the new logic, which suggests a return to more local production: this trend will lead to steady growth over the next five years. The company has already accepted the challenge to contain costs and reduce delivery times so as not to lose competitiveness both nationally and internationally. Pizzi hopes that the reorganization and investment in new resources will be able to support the current demand, "also looking beyond."

Carlo Salvi S.p.a. will present its new projects at booth 640 at the next Fastener Fair Italy 2022, to be held from Nov. 3 to -Dec. 1 at Fiera Milano City (Milan).
