Program set for Global Continuous Casting Forum

The Wire Association International (WAI), Inc. announces the third offering of its Global Continuous Casting Forum (GCCF), which will be held May 13-16, 2019 in Atlanta, GA. The forum provides a venue for academics, researchers, metallurgists, and professionals to meet and exchange innovative ideas and information on all aspects of aluminum and copper continuous casting. 

The GCCF is held in conjunction with WAI’s Interwire 2019 trade exposition and conference, the largest and longest-running wire and cable convention in the Americas, and will this year feature a “Next Generation” theme.

Casting light on aluminum and copper
Globally oriented, this is WAI’s standalone program for aluminum and copper continuous casting practitioners. It is intended for metallurgists, process engineers, purchasing agents, quality control managers, commercial representatives, rod production professionals, and lubrication and surface chemists.

The forum features a combined general session, separate tracks for each discipline, a total of 38 presentations, ‘nextworking’ events, and an opportunity to see the Interwire 2019 exhibits which run throughout the week.

Hot spots
GCCF registrants choose between aluminum and copper tracks. Highlights include aluminum welding wire technology, advances in continuous rod systems, automation and safety, and lubrication and testing. All will be presented within Interwire’s “Next Generation” theme. 

Forum registrants will also have access to: Interwire exhibits, production solutions demonstrations, the GCCF cocktail hour; and Interwire welcome reception at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame.
