Ready for Düsseldorf: Expometals release 4.5 is online

Dear on-line exhibitors and visitors of Expometals.net,

in preparation for the forthcoming international wire/Tube fair in Düsseldorf, the release 4.5 of Expometals was just published, with small but important changes that make navigation easier and improve the portal in many ways. In the next few hours you may experience minor malfunctions, please bear with us, we are working to solve them. To activate this update, and to view the new contents in a correct way, we recommend you to empty your web browser cache. Clearing your browser cache forces the browser to load the latest versions of web pages and programs you visit. It is a useful procedure that should be done on a regular basis. At this link you will find the correct proceeding for the most used web browsers.

The most conspicuous change concerns the homepage, which was very heavy in version 4; with this update it has been made leaner, lighter and simpler. This will improve besides user experience even indexing on search engines.

The summary of the news stories previously visible on the homepage has been migrated to the News page, which we want to enhance to become a full-fledged online magazine. On the homepage, however, the last 15 news will rotate, sliding on top as flash news.

Here is a summary of the other changes made:

- The black menu bar on the top, present on all pages of Expometals.net, has been trimmed; now to go back to the homepage you just need to click on the Expometals logo;

- In the Products page the layout has been improved to facilitate reading and searching. In these days we are working on further changes, available soon;

- The "new exhibitors" module has been improved both on the homepage and in the on-line halls: now the user can see all the latest companies that have joined Expometals.net in chronological order;

Many small changes have been made, more technical than aesthetic ones, that will make the portal more interesting - and indexed, especially by the Google search engine.

It is with this new look that we are presenting ourselves at the most important event in the sector, wire & Tube in Düsseldorf, which this year is particularly significant for us, because as well as exhibitors we are officially Media Partner of the event.
