The Wire Association International has appointed its new president

The new president of the Wire Association International (WAI), Inc. has been appointed. From January 1, 2022, James R. York – senior vice president at Insteel Industries Inc. – will serve as chairman of the Board of Directors and as the 69th president of the 92-year-old association. York commented his recent appointment: “The WAI has been and continues to be an important resource for industry members. It is my intention to continue this focus by providing contemporary-based data and programs that assist in the success of our members’ organizations and day-to-day operations.”

The USA-based association has been busy with the preparations for this year’s edition of the biennial Wire Expo, slated for June 7-8, 2022. WAI reports that, as of now, 70% of exhibit space has already been sold: the floorplan is expected to be sold out by March 2022.
