An official Messe Düsseldorf press release published today confirms the dates already set for the wire/Tube 2020 exhibition duo. As is well known, the two events had been postponed from April to 7-11 December 2020 due to the outbreak of the Covid emergency.
According to the statement, “in a meeting of the European associations acting as conceptual sponsors of the events in Düsseldorf, the decision has been taken that a commitment to the leading trade fairs ... is indispensable despite these challenging times.”
Though organizers are aware that “in the current situation most visitors will come from Europe” and both shows “will have a primarily European character”, it is of utmost importance to promote personal meetings and exchange of information.
Messe Düsseldorf is glad to “send a positive signal to the industries by holding the two events”, says Friedrich-Georg Kehrer, Global Portfolio Director wire, Tube & Flow Technologies.
As shown by the CARAVAN SALON (in the picture), the first big event after the lockdown, which was held last week in Düsseldorf, the organizer is able to “implement all necessary hygiene measures to keep risks to a minimum for exhibitors and visitors.”
