Innovative design
The ability to innovate of Proteco originates from the synergy between a precise knowledge of all the issues related to the manufacturing of transposed cable and a remarkable inventive capacity level.
In designing and manufacturing machinery, Proteco makes use of the most evolute technical means, including 3D prototypization. This methodical approach ensures the products to be at high grade of safety and reliability

Patents
Many patents and related applications belong to the Company, confirming the high level of competence in its specific field of activity. Proteco owns today the more advanced technology in CTC field.

CTC Lines
Peculiar features
The lines for the production of CTC manufactured by Proteco are characterized by some special features:

- a new principle for the transposition that offers better quality and higher speed;
- easy setting of the line, totally assited by servo motors;
- max attention to the ergonomiy, safety and energy saving;
- taping machines controlled by a sophisticated electromagnetic braking system;
- possibility of adding the optional equipment TH10 for the production of the VCTC.
- fully electronic control with and UPS supporting the basic functions in case of interruption of electicity;

Production range for CTC and VCTC
- Number of strips, min-max (even/odd) 5 - 100 strips.
- Width of the strips, min-max 3.00 - 12.50mm.
- Thickness of the strips, min-max 1.00 - 3.00mm.
- Width of the cable, max 26mm.
- Height of the cable, max 85mm.
- Tensile strength of the copper, max 260 N/mm2.

Ventilated CTC
This new cable represents a decisive improvement for the CTC. It has been created to improve the thermal performances of the CTC by increasing the surface of contact between the strips and the cooling oil. In this new cable one, or even more, oil ducts through the cross section of the CTC have been created with a special bending of the strips. The resulting geometry increases the surface in contact with the oil, thus giving a potential advantage to the transformer in terms of efficiency.
