Metal tube laser cutting

Metal tube laser cutting

The laser tube department of FASB has two machines up and running: ADIGE LT712 and TRUMPF Trulaser 7100. Here it is possible to machine pipes with a diameter of from 14 mm to 250 mm.

The laser systems allow various machining operations to be carried out on the metal pipes, with as many as six different operations being carried out in a single working cycle.

It is possible to machine any type of opening for pipes of various sections, all in a fully automatic manner that eliminates the need for individual operations such as cutting – deburring – boring – trimming and finishing operations that are usually carried out on specific, dedicated machines.

This results in perfect optimisation of costs, both during the machining phase and during assembly of the finished products, as it is possible to create special joints, locking and fixing systems that allow easier, less costly assembly; the extreme flexibility of laser operations means that it is possible to develop products that are increasingly free from construction limitations and in which the imagination of the designer can be given free rein, as well as speeding up the time required to create both samples and standard production batches.

Tools like punches, clamps, templates, moulds have been completely eliminated from machining operations thanks to pipe laser cutting machines.
