Chain furnace for tubes and bars

Heat treatment

GF-ELTI, based in Sovere (BG), manufactures chain furnaces for the heat treatment of round section bars and tubes. This type of plant is entirely designed to meet the precise needs of the end customer: thanks to the logic of modular prefabrication, it is possible to considerably speed up the assembly and installation phases on site.

Typically, a GF-ELTI chain furnace consists of:
- quadrangular muffle
- inlet and outlet doors;
- charge handling chain;
- flat vault;
- combustion system;
- electrothermal control equipment;
- refractory linings in cast or fibrous materials;
- inspection doors and man-holes for access inside the furnace.

Moreover, these plants are equipped with GF-ELTI auto-recuperative or regenerative burners characterized by high speed and fixed power. Controlled through PLC, their energy supply is kept constantly in check. The open flame burners are arranged along the head walls of the furnaces.
Special cameras allow the monitoring of the loading and unloading stages inside the furnaces. The products in transit are kept constantly rotating with respect to their axis to ensure temperature uniformity over the entire surface. Maximum operating temperature: about 1,100 °C.
