High-carbon hardenable steel strips
The second flagship product is the hardenable high-carbon steel strip.
This type of steel strip can be supplied either hard rolled or soft annealed, with width
ranging from 5 mm to 650 mm and thicknesses from 0.10 mm to 5 mm, with sheared or rounded edges, or with special profiles according to the customers' specific
requirements.
The steel grades mainly used for the cold rolling of the hardenable steel strips are the following: C45E (according to EN 10132-3), C60S, C67S, C75S, C100S, 51CrV4 (according to EN 10132-4). In addition, further steel grades can be requested, such as C15E, C85S, 16MnCr5, 25CrMo4, 42CrMo4, 102Cr6.
The hardenable steel strips can be supplied in coils, spools with weight ranging from 100 kg to 3000 kg, or cut-to-length.
This type of material is used to manufacture a wide variety of products: springs (disc pusher, industrial, and clothes hangers), small metal parts, conical, elastic, and toothed washers, clamps for the electrical industry, connecting rods for furniture hinges, industrial and motorcycle chains, and much more.
