WALLSTARTER is a processor system for data acquisition, processing and displaying of all relevant data from ultrasonic scanners of the UMAC® series from Zumbach.


DIACAL 8000
Precise Measurement of the Geometry of Cable Jacket and Insulation with Automatic Calibration of the Ultrasonic Measurement.
DIACAL 8000 is the name of the intelligent software package from Zumbach Electronics. It forms the perfect extension for wall thickness and/or diameter measuring systems for cable jacket and insulation. DIACAL 8000 uses the measuring data from the diameter measuring sensors before and after the extrusion of the jacket or insulation and automatically determines the calibration parameter for the ultrasonic measurement. UMAC® CI (For single and multi-layer cables and tubes) + UMAC® CI B (For single layer tubes)
High-Tech Measured Value Processors for Ultrasonic Wall Thickness Measurement Industrial processor with DSP (Digital Signal Processor) technology for connection to a higher level system (PC, PLC or USYS, resp. WALLMASTER systems). For display and process control, the UMAC CI provides serial RS or a PROFIBUS DP interfaces.

Ultrasonic Non-Contact Wall Thickness Scanners
For tubing and small pipe, wire and small diameter cable extrusions from 0.2 up to 20mm (.008 up to .78in.)
Measuring close to the extruder (where the product orientation is stable and practically free from rotation) allows for quick and efficient centering. The results of any die adjustments are visible instantly, confirming to the operator that the actions taken, brought the results intended. Start-up scrap is reduced to a minimum.

Non-Contact Eccentricity and Wall Thickness Measurement Scanner
For plastic or elastomer extrusion of single conductors, small cables, pipes and tubing up to ø35mm (1.37 in.)
The unique design of the UMAC A35PB-4K ultrasonic wall thickness scanner offers true non-contact wall thickness measurements of insulated medium and large conductors, cable jackets, small pipes or tubes immediately after the extruder.

These brand new UMAC® RZ scanners for ultrasonic measurement represent a smart and simple solution for in-line wall thickness measurement. Measured data acquisition and processing takes place by means of the high-tech processor UMAC® CI from ZUMBACH. The operation and display is realized with USYS IPC WALLMASTER or higher-level systems such as host computers or PLC systems.
