CAL2D now also measures torsion springs

MicroStudio is pleased to introduce a new measurement feature available on the CAL2D, MicroStudio’s production instrument dedicated to the dimensional inspection of springs.

With the CAL2D, you can now instantly measure the angle between the legs of a torsion spring, without the need to create control plans or additional procedures.

Advanced algorithm for torsion springs

In addition to the measurement already available, it is now possible to select a dedicated algorithm specifically designed for torsion springs, which allows you to quickly obtain:

• the angle between the two legs
• the internal diameter of the coil, also useful for verifying the correct positioning of the spring during inspection

Magnetic support kit for improved stability

To ensure correct and stable positioning, especially when measuring springs with a great number of coils, we offer a useful magnetic support kit, designed to facilitate and simplify measurement operations.

Availability and updates

The feature is already available on all new CAL2D instruments.
It is also possible to update CAL2D instruments with an 8” display that have already been delivered.
