CERSA MCI’s SQM-F surface defect detector for thin wires in the spotlight at WIRE TOHO

Fresh from the WIRE TOHO exhibition, CERSA MCI would like to express its great satisfaction for the success achieved by its wire, tube, and cable control technologies showcased during the event.

During the event, Eric Nogues, CERSA’s sales representative, held a seminar introducing the innovative SQM-F for analyzing the surface quality of thin wires. Live demonstrations on samples provided by visitors left no doubt about the device's capabilities, equipped with an innovative wire lighting system for detecting even the tiniest surface defects like scratches, die marks, or irregularities. 

The SQM-F has been especially designed to examine wires and cylindrical products ranging from 2 mm to diameters of 20 µm, adapting to any production speed. With an impressive ability to generate 200,000 images per second, all its sensors and electronics fit neatly into a compact box, simplifying integration into the production line. The SQM-F provides numerous advantages, setting new and higher standards for wire and cable manufacturers. Thanks to this device, it will be possible to enhance the final quality of the products, all while saving on raw materials.
