High-load UTM machine for tensile, compression, and elongation tests

AURA TENSILE is Easydur’s flagship high-capacity UTM (universal testing machine), engineered for the most demanding mechanical tests. It supports automatic pneumatic or hydraulic grips and performs tensile, compression, bending, and elongation tests in compliance with key international standards (ASTM, ISO, EN, GOST, DIN).

Maximum versatility and power

The UTM can be configured with up to three permanent load cells, each with its own set of grips, covering a range from 100 N to 1,000 kN. For higher loads, a single cell up to 3,000 kN can be installed. Active cell selection is handled via software, with overload protection even when inactive and automatic release in case of impact.

Structure and actuation

The freestanding dual-column structure uses ball screws, servo-electric drive, and brushless motors. It includes an absolute encoder or optical scale for optimal motion control. The system supports advanced sinusoidal profile stress cycles for simulation purposes.

EASYQS control software

Easydur’s proprietary EASYQS software, running on Windows 10, provides complete machine control. It uses a CAN-bus network to synchronize axis controllers and load cell readers at 1000 Hz with a resolution of up to 200,000 divisions. It includes archive management, statistics, customizable Excel certificates, and a user-friendly touchscreen interface.

Features and test results

Tests are executed via front panel controls. Functions include absolute and relative reset, elasticity and rigidity diagrams, USB and network interfaces, data acquisition from external tools, and a high-precision electronic handwheel (0.003 mm resolution). The machine calculates unit load, strain, modules, yield, and break point, with user-defined stop conditions.

Applications and standards

AURA is ideal for testing sheet metals, pipes, welded metals, castings, forgings, rolled steels, and alloys, under standard or environmental chamber conditions. It complies with ASTM E290, ISO 6892-1/2/3, ISO 4136, DIN 50154, ISO 6259, and more.
