MSG Solutions at Tube 2026: smart measurement & inspection solutions for tube manufacturing

MSG Solutions at Tube 2026: smart measurement & inspection solutions for tube manufacturing

From April 13–17, 2026, MSG Solutions will present its latest developments for tube and profile processing as well as modern measurement and manufacturing processes at Tube in Düsseldorf. The focus will be on solutions for straightness and contour measurement, intelligent inspection systems, and integrated automation concepts for demanding production environments. Visitors will gain practical insights into high-performance systems for quality assurance along the entire process chain.

You can find MSG Solutions in Hall 6 | C02.

In addition to the exhibits on display, the company will also introduce a new brand and a new product at Tube 2026.

Growing with TWINEX

MSG Solutions is strategically expanding its portfolio of digital, data-driven solutions in order to support customers across the entire value chain. TWINEX brings together these competencies and sharpens the company’s long-established expertise in digital metrology.
Logo of the newly founded TWINEX brand from MSG SolutionsThe name TWINEX refers to the digital twin as a key concept of modern manufacturing: the digital representation of products and processes, in which measurement data, process information, and normative requirements are interconnected to create transparency and process reliability. EX stands for expertise, experience, and exploration.

TWINEX ScanIn: Intelligent, forward-looking solution for precise internal diameter measurement of large tubes

TWINEX ScanIn is the first solution under the new brand and can be tested live, rented, or purchased directly at Tube 2026.

In current practice, measuring the internal diameter of large tubes and pipes involves significant challenges, as it is often performed manually using laser distance meters or calipers and is highly dependent on the operator. Multiple measurements — particularly when determining ovality — make the process time-consuming and prone to error, complicate precise pipe-to-pipe fittings, and create additional organizational effort due to the need to use different gauges.

Highly accurate static measuring systems with tracking units can deliver precise results; however, in practice they are often inflexible: repositioning and rebooting the tracking station takes several minutes, integration into harsh production environments is often impractical, and many software solutions are not designed for standards-compliant measurement, for example according to API 5L.

MSG’s solution: TWINEX ScanIn

TWINEX ScanIn provides a practical and user-friendly alternative. It is a battery-powered embedded solution for the complete profiling of the internal cross-section of large tubes and pipes. Instead of individual point measurements, the entire internal profile is captured and digitally mapped. This creates a comprehensive and objective dataset as the basis for clear and repeatable measurement. The design ensures perpendicular measurement of the internal profile. Positioning and angular errors are monitored and can be corrected by the software.

The measurement software is specifically designed for standards-compliant measurement and includes integrated data management for inspection plan and measurement result management. Via a direct Wi-Fi connection, the measurement software and data can be transferred to additional clients. Detailed analyses can therefore be conveniently carried out on larger monitors.

Concrete benefits for the user

For the customer, this means one thing above all: objectivity. The measurement is operator-independent and reproducible, while multiple measurements and complex setup processes are eliminated. Integrated data management ensures transparent workflows and structured documentation. Optimized workflows, reduced administrative effort, and the avoidance of measurement errors lower costs and transform what was previously a time-consuming task into an efficient, standards-compliant process.

At Tube Düsseldorf 2026, visitors can experience TWINEX ScanIn live, test it, and purchase it directly.
