REGG Inspection looks back at LIFT OFF 2026, its Open House for Aerospace technologies
Following the success of its first edition, LIFT OFF returned for another round in July 2026. The Open House event, organized by REGG Inspection, was entirely dedicated to technologies for the aerospace industry, a sector where quality, precision, and reliability in manufacturing processes are crucial, and where technological advancements must meet increasingly stringent standards.
The 2026 edition of LIFT OFF provided an opportunity to showcase some of the major innovations developed by REGG Inspection in the fields of thread rolling and automated inspection, with live machine demonstrations allowing industry professionals to explore their features, performance, and potential applications.
This year, alongside significant machinery updates, the Open House also extended its reach overseas, with invitation-only video calls for individual customers, allowing international contacts to see the new technologies in action.
VR300HD: high-productivity vertical thread rolling
One of the key machines showcased at LIFT OFF 2026 was the new VR300HD, a two-roll cylindrical rolling machine designed to combine rigidity, precision, and productivity. Its defining feature is vertical rolling, a configuration that helps optimize the production cycle and achieve an output of up to 40 parts per minute.
The VR300HD can perform both cold and warm rolling processes, generating a maximum pressure of 30 tons. It is designed to process components with full or partial threads, with diameters ranging from 1/4" to 1" and lengths up to 4".
These features are particularly valuable in the aerospace industry, where component geometry and quality must go hand in hand with stable, repeatable production processes that are flexible enough to handle different geometries and materials.
More broadly, the VR series was developed to meet a range of thread rolling requirements through quick adjustments and a high degree of adaptability to different materials and diameters, while maintaining precision and efficiency even in applications with particularly stringent requirements.
i300 Eco-Line: a new generation of automatic inspection
The other major focus of LIFT OFF 2026 was quality control, a particularly critical step in the production of components for the aerospace industry.
REGG Inspection introduced the new i300 Eco-Line, the latest evolution of the i300 line, which has been on the market for nearly twenty years. The new model features an extensive layout redesign aimed at making the machine more compact, modern, and easier to access for maintenance. The redesign also improved dust containment and reduced the machine’s overall footprint, both important factors for more effective integration into production lines.
Particular attention was also paid to energy efficiency, with carefully selected components helping to reduce energy consumption. On the digital side, the i300 Eco-Line introduces new software tools and a next-generation operator panel with more advanced deep learning-based functions.
The integration of automation, vision systems, and advanced software tools is playing an increasingly important role in high-value industries such as aerospace, where quality control must be integrated directly into the production process while ensuring precision, continuity, and reliable inspection.
Direct dialogue shaping future solutions
LIFT OFF 2026 was more than a technology showcase. It was also an opportunity for direct dialogue between manufacturer and users. Being able to watch the machines run, test feasibility on real components, and talk directly with the technical team gave attendees the opportunity to evaluate the technology against their own production needs.
For REGG Inspection, this kind of exchange also helps shape the development of future solutions, from mechanical performance and ease of setup to automated quality control, energy efficiency, and the use of deep learning tools.
