RTP Paganoni brings cutting-edge solutions for wire drawing at wire Düsseldorf 2026

RTP Paganoni renews its participation in the upcoming edition of wire Düsseldorf 2026, scheduled from April 13 to 17, where it will present its range of solutions and sintered ceramics components designed to improve the efficiency and durability of production processes.
During the exhibition, the company will highlight some of its most appreciated technologies among wire manufacturers, including the Diamond 3000 coating, Z1000 sintered ceramics, and the specialized capstan regeneration service.
Diamond 3000 coating for high-performance capstans
Diamond 3000 is a tungsten carbide-based agglomerate used for coating capstans up to 1200 mm in diameter, characterized by exceptional hardness ranging from HRC 61.0 to 64.0. This coating offers high resistance to wear and abrasion, helping increase the operational life of capstans and reduce the need for maintenance interventions. Thanks to its strong adhesion on different materials, it is particularly suitable for drawing harder wires or wires with larger diameters. In addition, its non-insulating nature promotes effective heat dissipation, helping maintain stable thermal conditions in the wire drawing process.
Z1000 sintered ceramics for copper wire drawing
Z1000 is a sintered ceramics developed to ensure high performance in copper wire drawing. Made from zirconium oxide (ZrO₂) that is pressed, sintered, and subsequently re-machined, Z1000 features excellent resistance to wire friction, wear, thermal shock, and high temperatures. It also boasts high resistance to natural and chemical erosion. Thanks to these characteristics, the material is used to manufacture components (cones, drawing rings, rollers, bushings, pulleys) intended for contact with aggressive environments, including certain types of acids and abrasives.
Capstan regeneration: revamping for like-new performance
In addition to manufacturing components and coatings, RTP Paganoni offers a specialized revamping service designed to restore worn capstans to optimal operating conditions and extend their service life. The regeneration process includes several technical stages, including analysis of operating conditions (drawn material, speed, and working parameters), removal of the worn coating, surface preparation by sandblasting, and application of a new coating suitable for the type of wire being processed. The intervention is completed with diameter grinding, lapping, and dimensional testing using a FARO 3D measuring arm. At the end of the process, the capstan returns to the production line as good as new, with high performance and reduced machine downtime thanks to efficient logistics planning.
