New Spool's investment plan continues: €5.7M in automation, AI, and new equipment
New Spool continues its innovation journey with an extensive multi-year investment program worth more than 5.7 million euros.
The project includes investments at New Spool worth over 600,000 euros, aimed at introducing state-of-the-art machinery, robotic loading and unloading systems, and automated technologies for inspecting the quality of basket welds.
At the same time, construction is underway on a new facility in Tombolo (Padua, Italy), which will house the new headquarters of partner company ARBE, at a value of 4.5 million euros, alongside further investments in new equipment worth approximately 600,000 euros.
New technologies for the production of wire baskets
One of the core pillars concerns the introduction of new production technologies dedicated to manufacturing the baskets already featured in the New Spool range, resulting in increased production capacity and greater flexibility in managing orders.
Increasingly extensive automation across the entire production process
Among the investments currently underway is the progressive automation of all equipment through:
- the implementation of dedicated systems for automatic product placement on pallets and packaging of the finished product;
- the integration of a robotic system for loading and unloading baskets coming from the painting line.
The automatic product palletizing and packaging system is already fully operational, with complete automation, on a first production line. This solution ensures greater continuity of the production cycle, helping to reduce manual operations and increase the precision and continuity of the production process.
AI-powered quality control
Alongside plant automation, the investment plan also includes the introduction of new quality control systems based on artificial intelligence technologies. These solutions allows automating weld inspection through intelligent systems capable of detecting any anomalies.
The investment program confirms New Spool's commitment to developing increasingly automated and digital production, combining efficiency, quality, and flexibility to meet the needs of the industry.
