The Italy-based manufacturer of welding wire supports, Spazzolplastica, has important updates involving both its Italian headquarters and its U.S. subsidiary.

Direct production in the United States: kicking off Made in USA

Spazzolplastica North America LLC is entering a new phase with the launch of direct production in the United States. The main plastic items — spools and drums for welding wire winding — will also be produced locally.

This strategic choice allows the company to respond more quickly, flexibly, and efficiently to American customers' needs, especially in cases of urgent orders or specific technical requirements. The Made-in-USA marking also offers added value in terms of logistics, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

New products on the way: DIN355 and Konik Big

Starting in July, the new DIN355 spool compliant with DIN EN 60264-2-1 (IEC-264-2-I DIN 46399 Part 1) will be available. Produced in PC/ABS or ABS (both recycled or virgin versions), it offers a capacity of up to 40 kg, a winding volume of 9,530 cm³, a weight of 1,850 g, and a standard black color (other colors available on request).

The drum range is also expanding with the new Konik Big model, made of 100% recyclable and reusable plastic, now available with an increased capacity of up to 550 kg (1,200 lbs). This further confirms the company's global approach.
