LCM800: regenerating machine for drawing lubricants
Most companies have to either buy a better lubricant to extend its usage cycle, or change it frequently to optimize performance. Both solutions are inefficient and result in considerable waste.
Tramev in collaboration with PWT now offers a method to purify the lubricant to make it reusable.
LCM800 (lubricant conditioning machine) works the lubricant recovered from the die holders and uses patented magnetic separation techniques to remove the contaminants - making the cleaned lubricant usable again.
Benefits:
Financial advantages
- Reduces waste with a lubricant recovery rate of 65-70%, saving on the purchase and disposal costs of the same.
- Investment recovery in 9 months.
Technical - product advantages
- Increased wire drawing speed.
- Production of a wire of higher quality, with a better tensile strength.
- real time measurement of lubricant purity in the die box (no need to take samples).
Operational and environmental benefits
- Technically tested, reliable, easy to install and requiring low maintenance.
- Reduces die wear, breakages and downtime.
How the LCM800 operates
The lubricant conditioning machine processes the discarded lubricant of the die boxes and uses patented magnetic separation techniques to remove contaminants (metals and metal oxides, which are magnetic, and burnt soap). The treated lubricant can then be used again.
