Three questions for Tramev

Three questions for Tramev

For our column "Three questions for ..." we posed three questions to Tramev, a company that has been working in the wire industry since 1977. Tramev is primarily known for its portable cutting tools. But not only.

1. How much of your business is made by shears for wire and cable? And what about the rest of your activity?
The shears are definitely our flagship product and they occupy much of our daily production. However over the years Tramev has specialized in the production of machines and accessories for wire processing, such as decoilers, coil tippers, compactors; and in second-hand machines revamping. 2. In which contexts are your shears mainly used? Who is the typical user?
Wire shears and straighteners are mostly used in the iron and steel industry (steel mills, wire mills, bolts and chains manufacturing companies etc.), whereas cable shears are designed for cable (or rope) manufacturers.

3. What are your geographical reference markets, and which are the most promising ones at the moment?
Tramev operates almost all over the world. The market shares are divided between Europe, South America and USA. The most promising market at the moment is the Indian one, as a result of a recent agreement with a major distributor.
