Integrated logistics and digital Kanban: Berardi at MECSPE Bologna 2026

Integrated logistics and digital Kanban: Berardi at MECSPE Bologna 2026

When managing class C items, variability and urgent requests are often the norm. At MECSPE 2026, Berardi Group introduces a different approach: digitalizing the kanban system to create a stable, traceable, and fully controlled flow through KanbanUp.

With over 100 years of experience in the fasteners industry and a network of 25 branches across Italy, Berardi enhances its traditional distribution model with a structured integrated logistics solution through its B-Lean Factory Systems division. KanbanUp represents the practical implementation of this strategy, enabling digital control of procurement flows within manufacturing environments.

KanbanUp: digital management of just-in-time flows

KanbanUp is the application developed by Berardi Group to digitalize supply management and optimize procurement flows. It is not simply an electronic Kanban system but an operational tool designed to eliminate manual activities and redundant processes, reduce variability, provide real-time visibility on consumption and material movements, and limit the risk of stockouts and urgent replenishments.

Fewer day-to-day decisions, fewer emergencies, and less capital tied up in inventory: the result is a more stable, predictable, and fully controlled supply chain.

Through a dedicated smartphone app or web portal, it is possible to:

• send and modify orders in real time;
• monitor delivery status;
• report shortages directly from production departments;
• track movements by individual container, line, department, or operator;
• integrate data with the company’s ERP system.

Control of container FIFO flow, rotation aligned with actual consumption, and automatic notifications help reduce replenishment lead time and minimize working capital tied up in inventory.

Berardi’s vision: control, efficiency, and production continuity

Digitalizing the Kanban system makes it possible to move beyond emergency-based inventory management and plan based on actual consumption data. Thanks to full traceability of usage and the ability to identify non-moving items or abnormal movements, companies can take timely and structured action.

Reducing complexity translates into:

• reduced operating costs;
• greater planning reliability;
• lower exposure to line stoppage risk;
• optimization of working capital.

KanbanUp is part of the B-Lean Factory Systems division, through which Berardi Group integrates supply and logistics management in support of the manufacturing industry.

Appointment at MECSPE 2026

From March 4 to 6, 2026, Berardi Group will be exhibiting at MECSPE Bologna.

At Hall 29 – Booth B32, visitors will have the opportunity to explore how KanbanUp works, engage with the technical team, and assess practical applications for the structured management of class C supplies. The integrated logistics solutions offered by the B-Lean Factory Systems division dedicated to supporting production departments will also be presented.
