The voice of businessmen: Defremm
The voice of businessmen: Defremm.
Back to the "The voice of businessmen" with the first interview of 2011. We spoke to Mrs. Rosa Molinari, General Director of Defremm, the company from Lecco, Italy, producing small metal parts, threaded inserts and rivets made from cold deformation of wire in various alloys (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass etc.).
How did 2011 begin for Defremm?
Fine, I must say. It is a positive period, there is a lot of work, more than we expected until some time ago. Certainly the pace is frenetic and the order book visibility is quite limited, it varies from two to three months. In addition, for the future, there is the big question of raw materials. Nevertheless, our expectations for this year are favorable. Can you tell us anything about your business strategies?
We have tried to obtain new customers, diversifying the application areas of our products and our investments. Most of our production is in the automotive sector, but we were able to differentiate our customers basis, in order to balance our risks as well.
Is there any product on which you focus most?
We do mostly special items, on specific request of the customer. These are our strong point. But I must also point out that, regarding the standard products, items such as threaded inserts and stainless steel inserts are drawing an enormous interest on the market.
Next exhibitions?
The next one for us will take place in Stuttgart, Germany: Fastener Fair, from 22 to 24 February (stand B141, Hall 4). For us, and in general for all our field, this is a very important event and an opportunity both to meet customers and to find new business partners.
Apart from fairs, which means of communication do you use to promote your business?
We participate in business missions, do some advertising on certain magazines, and pay close attention to our website. And of course we take part in your online fair.
