Viteria Fusani partner in U-Joints – Lausanne – May 2019
Started on the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2018, the first U-Joints exhibition was an eclectic introduction to the topic of connections. Taking a look at the multifaceted world of joints, Andrea Caputo and his team broke the joints open, organised them by material and production processes, reassembled them into prototypes, and used them in real-world applications.
This introduction launched the U-Joints research project, which is now in the process of investigating different kinds of connections more deeply, especially in the furniture and carpentry industry.
This year's U-Joints exhibition, designed by Camille Blin at Galerie l’elac of ECAL in Lausanne was dedicated to very basic fasteners, the exhibition featured a large selection of nails, screws, rivets, bolts and nuts, alongside products created by 20 international designers.
Viteria Fusani has been contacted by the architect Andrea Caputo – Milan – and supplied special screws manufactured in the plant of Valle Lomellina (PV).
