From bauma 2025 to future growth: ISB’s evolving path in global markets

ISB, renowned manufacturer of springs and stamped and blanked components, recently took part in the 2025 edition of bauma—one of the most prominent trade fairs for the construction, earthmoving, and mechanical engineering industry.

ISB’s main goal at the event was to enhance its presence in the global market and maintain close contacts with customers, many of whom were also exhibiting in Munich. For ISB, bauma offered a valuable opportunity for dialog and exchange at a time when the economic and industrial landscape remains challenging.

“We’ve been exhibiting at bauma since 2003; for us, it’s more than a commercial event—it’s also an opportunity to reaffirm our stability, engaging in open conversations with clients and partners, sharing insights, addressing challenges, and exploring future prospects. In today’s complex market environment, it’s important to demonstrate our presence and commitment to long-term investment,” said Andrea Crotti, Sales at ISB.

Product innovation and evolving markets
At bauma, ISB showcased a comprehensive selection of torsion, compression, and extension springs, alongside its range of blanked components and respective tooling. The company continues to serve key sectors such as hydraulics, earthmoving, automotive, and food processing, with recent developments extending into the marine industry.

A highlight of the exhibit were the Archimedean spiral springs, currently manufactured in collaboration with a partnerspring producer, which ISB expects to fully acquire by 2027. These niche products are used in applications requiring controlled return motion or constant torque over a fixed angle. Common uses include seat belt retractors, adjustable seats, and dashboard instruments in the automotive industry. They are also used in medical devices, measuring instruments, and various packaging and material handling machines.

From trade shows to key markets
The solutions presented at bauma reflect the versatility of ISB’s product offering, tailored to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market. While the company maintains a solid customer base in Italy, it also serves Italian multinationals operating abroad, along with established partners in Germany, Poland, and Turkey.

Outside Europe, ISB is active in strategic markets such as the United States and India. Operations at its Brazil facility are also contributing to expand the group’s foothold in South America.

Looking ahead
The next major appointment for ISB will be at Agritechnica in Hannover, slated for November 9-15. As one of the foremost international exhibitions for agricultural machinery, Agritechnica represents a strategic opportunity for ISB to present its technical solutions and components tailored to the agri-industrial sector.

At the same time, ISB is undergoing an internal reorganization following the integration of Mollificio Mantovano and Mollificio Felsineo. This process underscores the group’s commitment to continuity and investment, even in a contracting market.
