ISB and digital transformation: new SAP S/4HANA ERP implemented

Against this backdrop, the spring-making company ISB has recently completed its digital transformation by implementing the new SAP S/4HANA ERP management system. The project, which started in January 2021, was customized based on ISB's requirements, using SAP's standard agile practices as a base.

“Our main need was to restructure our business processes (especially logistics) without having to start from scratch. In other words, we needed to invest in technologies that would allow us to manage the factory in its entirety, as well as all the internal and external related processes,” commented Francesco Silvestri, ISB CEO.

Four main areas were involved: logistics, production, accounting, and management control. Business processes have been redesigned, streamlining and automating the workflow. Thanks to this digital transformation, ISB will be able to:

- make procurement, production, and sales as efficient as possible;
- significantly reduce operating costs by condensing the number of activities required to achieve an objective;
- invest the time saved in activities with higher added value;
- remain competitive in international markets.
