Formula SAE World Championship, Torino Spring and Squadra Corse PoliTo aim high
Turin, in Northern Italy, has always been a crucible for great ideas: plentiful of industries were born here.
This is the case of Torino Spring, established only two years ago but already ahead of the pack in the spring market. This year, the company has carried out a relevant partnership with Squadra Corse PoliTo, the racing team of the prestigious Politecnico di Torino university.
In an elite field like automotive, springs and small precision parts play a dominant role: even the smallest change can be decisive. In fact, because of its attention to detail, Torino Spring has been selected by Squadra Corse to endorse its project as the official team sponsor.
The sheer product was not the only thing Torino Spring provided the team with: passion in every step, from the very prototype design to the competition itself, the possibility to put its knowledge into practice, and meeting professionals are all growth motivations, both in technical terms and in personal terms.
This collaboration brought tangible results: 2019 has been a record year for Squadra Corse.
he team attended three key events of the Formula SAE World Championship with a really competitive car.
A spectacular first place in the home Grand Prix in Varano de’ Melegari, in Formula SAE Electric Italy Series, has proven the team to be a landmark for every other Italian team.
The second appointment was in Czech Republic: despite a major technical problem, two days before flying to Most, the team was able to grab a really good sixth place in Formula Student series thanks to its commitment and dedication.
Third and last event in Catalunya, Montmeló, where the competition level skyrocketed: Spain has always been one of the most renowned Formula SAE destinations. Squadra Corse arrived 1st among Italians and 14th overall, gaining important points for the general standing. The racing team also arrived very close to podium in Cost and Manufacturing Event, further proof of the project’s value.
