Automation and intelligent control: the evolution of fastening according to FAR

During the event, scheduled from October 28 to 30, the company will present two important innovations dedicated to industrial automation and intelligent monitoring of assembly processes.

Automation for threaded inserts: efficiency and precision

FAR expands its range of automatic solutions for installing threaded inserts with systems designed to increase speed, precision, and process continuity. The new automatic feeding system is compatible with M5 to M10 inserts in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, with cylindrical or hexagonal bodies.

The automation line includes electric base units, semi-automatic feeders, and feeding modules that can be integrated into robotic systems. Each component is designed to ensure repeatability, precise control of setting force, and automatic unscrewing of the insert at the end of the application, preventing damage and optimizing cycle times.

As per company practice, all systems are customized according to customer production requirements, with configurations ranging from manual benches with vibratory bowl feeders to fully automated modules for robotic lines. FAR also provides support in designing tailor-made solutions adaptable to different sizes, materials, and installation methods.

Fastening Control SC8: monitoring goes smart

Another major innovation is the Fastening Control SC8 system, which enables real-time monitoring of the riveting process for both rivets and threaded inserts. This tool analyzes installation parameters and detects any anomalies, ensuring consistent quality and full process traceability.
